Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 Ounces Brown Melting Chocolate
  • 2 1/2 Ounces White Melting Chocolate
  • 1 Ounce Orange Melting Chocolate
  • 1 Ounce Yellow Melting Chocolate
  • Eye Sprinkles
  • Mini Oreos
  • Mini Peanut Butter Cups
  • Reese’s Pieces

Equipment

  • Piping Bags
  • Microwave Safe Bowls (Medium and Small)
  • Parchment Paper

Method

  1. Instructions
  2. Put the white melting chocolate and 1 1/2 ounces of the brown melting chocolate into a medium size microwave safe bowl. Place the bowl to the side for later.
  3. Pour 1 ounce of the brown chocolate into a small microwave safe bowl. Melt the chocolate in the small bowl in the microwave in 15-30 second intervals until completely liquid. Then place it in a piping bag. Cut a tiny hole in the tip.
  4. Separate the Oreo mini sandwich cookies and remove the cream. Using the melted chocolate in the piping bag, put a drop of chocolate on the mini Oreo to attach a mini peanut butter cup to the top of it, to create the hat. Repeat this for each pretzel.
  5. Melt the white and brown chocolate melts following the instructions above. Pour the melted chocolate into tall cup.
  6. Tilt the glass a little bit and dip the pretzel into the chocolate. Scrape off the excess chocolate on the top glass and lay the pretzels on a sheet of parchment paper. Let it sit for 8-10 minutes to dry.
  7. Once the pretzels are dry, use the melted chocolate in the piping bag to attach the eyes a little over an inch from the top of the pretzel.
  8. Next Pipe a smile under the eyes. Optional: pipe 2-3 horizontal lines on the smile to look like the stitches you see on a scarecrows mouth. Let it sit for 2 minutes to dry.
  9. In small bowl melt the yellow chocolate melts according to the instructions above.
  10. Pipe the yellow chocolate at the top of the pretzels, to look like scarecrow hair and then place the Oreo hats on top of the yellow hair.
  11. Next melt the orange chocolate melts and place it in a piping bag.
  12. Now pipe zig zag lines across the pretzels under the mouth on the scarecrow pretzel. Repeat the same steps with the yellow chocolate.
  13. While the chocolate is still wet, put one yellow, orange and brown Reese’s piece on the pretzel to represent buttons on the scarecrow. Let the chocolate dry for 3-4 minutes.
  14. Serve and Enjoy!

Notes

These Scarecrow pretzels can be stored in air tight container in a cool dry place for 4 days.
You can use candy coated chocolates for the buttons if you don’t want two ingredients with peanut butter.
I used brown and white chocolate because I didn't want to usefood coloring. If youprefer, you can just color your white chocolate a lighter color brown.
