- Instructions
- Put the white melting chocolate and 1 1/2 ounces of the brown melting chocolate into a medium size microwave safe bowl. Place the bowl to the side for later.
- Pour 1 ounce of the brown chocolate into a small microwave safe bowl. Melt the chocolate in the small bowl in the microwave in 15-30 second intervals until completely liquid. Then place it in a piping bag. Cut a tiny hole in the tip.
- Separate the Oreo mini sandwich cookies and remove the cream. Using the melted chocolate in the piping bag, put a drop of chocolate on the mini Oreo to attach a mini peanut butter cup to the top of it, to create the hat. Repeat this for each pretzel.
- Melt the white and brown chocolate melts following the instructions above. Pour the melted chocolate into tall cup.
- Tilt the glass a little bit and dip the pretzel into the chocolate. Scrape off the excess chocolate on the top glass and lay the pretzels on a sheet of parchment paper. Let it sit for 8-10 minutes to dry.
- Once the pretzels are dry, use the melted chocolate in the piping bag to attach the eyes a little over an inch from the top of the pretzel.
- Next Pipe a smile under the eyes. Optional: pipe 2-3 horizontal lines on the smile to look like the stitches you see on a scarecrows mouth. Let it sit for 2 minutes to dry.
- In small bowl melt the yellow chocolate melts according to the instructions above.
- Pipe the yellow chocolate at the top of the pretzels, to look like scarecrow hair and then place the Oreo hats on top of the yellow hair.
- Next melt the orange chocolate melts and place it in a piping bag.
- Now pipe zig zag lines across the pretzels under the mouth on the scarecrow pretzel. Repeat the same steps with the yellow chocolate.
- While the chocolate is still wet, put one yellow, orange and brown Reese’s piece on the pretzel to represent buttons on the scarecrow. Let the chocolate dry for 3-4 minutes.
- Serve and Enjoy!
Notes
These Scarecrow pretzels can be stored in air tight container in a cool dry place for 4 days.
You can use candy coated chocolates for the buttons if you don’t want two ingredients with peanut butter.
I used brown and white chocolate because I didn't want to usefood coloring. If youprefer, you can just color your white chocolate a lighter color brown.
