I love to cook and bake, but I’m also busy and always looking for time-saving tips and tricks. Because I’m a busy mama!

Today, I run a busy financial content business and three different blogs. And I homeschool my two youngest children, in fifth and eighth grades.

A few years ago, we got a large Ninja Foodi. It’s a game changer when it comes to meal planning and prep. It’s now my favorite way to cook and bake fast.

I love it! Ever since, I’ve been experimenting with air fryer recipes. Honestly, great recipes for air fryers are popping up everywhere on social media. I’ve even tried baking bread, banana bread, and these air fryer cherry hand pies. The whole family loves them.

A Ninja Foodi is a great choice if you prefer to make your own burgers, but I know there are different brands of air fryers out there. No matter what type of air fryer you use, this easy recipe will help you get dinner on the table fast when it is burger night.

I serve these on homemade hamburgers buns sometimes. Other times, I serve them with leftover mashed potatoes. In the summer, we like them with watermelon rind salad.

True, sometimes we buy frozen burgers, but I like my own patties better. I just grab a pound of hamburger meat to thaw in the morning. Plus, I like making smaller patties for the younger kids.

The air fryer uses hot air to cook food evenly, ensuring that every bite of your burger is perfectly cooked. Cooking a cheeseburger in an air fryer is so efficient – much faster than traditional methods. It takes only about 15 minutes from start to finish.

I also love that cleaning the air fryer only takes a few minutes. Quick Tip: Lining the air fryer with aluminum foil means less mess to clean up afterward.

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 hamburger buns

  2. Season both sides of the burger patties evenly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Place the patties in the air fryer basket. Or line your air fryer with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup and to keep the patties juicy.
  4. Cook at 350°F for 10 minutes for a medium-well hamburger. Adjust the time by two minutes more or less for your preferred doneness.
  5. Once cooked, remove the patties and place cheese slices on each. Set aside to let the cheese melt slightly.
  6. Prepare the toppings by slicing the tomato and chopping or slicing the onion.
  7. Assemble the cheeseburgers by placing a patty on each bottom bun. Add lettuce, tomato, and onion, and spread Thousand Island dressing on the top bun.
